Background

Brickhouse Haven is the name given to a small strip of woodland, originally planted through the millennium forest on Brickhouse field, opposite Brickhouse Primary School. The area had deteriorated, trees and fencing were damaged and the area was littered and looked neglected.

Brickhouse primary school was invited to get involved in replanting the area to try and introduce a sense of ownership through the local community.

The resulting project based scheme of work was developed by Brickhouse Primary School, for other schools to adapt for use in school grounds or community area projects.
